Background

Hi, I'm Helen, and I originate from the beautiful Lake District in Cumbria.

For as long as I can remember I have been active. Having parents who were ramblers and a dad who loved playing sport, our family time was always doing something active.
I lost my mum at a young age, and I'm sure this planted a seed that developed my interest in my own well-being and the importance of looking after myself.

Developing My Interest

My curiosity in the subject of nutrition grew further once I had children. I wanted to know what nourishment they needed to grow and develop in the best way they could. I bought books, studied the nutrition and taught myself to cook to make sure I provided for them.

It was the new research and evidence into the importance of a healthy gut microbiome that intrigue me even further and more reading and studying of this topic pursued.

I continue to learn a lot from self study and thoroughly enjoy sharing my knowledge with clients, friends and family.

Becoming a Qualified Nutrition Coach

It was during the Covid lockdown that I decided I wanted a reputable qualification and found Precision Nutrition. They are the largest and most respected private nutrition organisation in the world. It appealed because it didn't just focus on nutrition. It involved a deep health, whole person approach, focused on people's emotional, physical and mental health which really resonated with me. It also taught me that being the right coach was just as important as knowing the nutrition.

With a qualification in nutrition and coaching, I decided to pursue my passion and continue helping people in the way I had always wanted to do. I decided to start my own business and Nu2Health was born.

With deep expertise in nutrition and gut health, I fully understand the vital importance of exercise and maintaining strength and muscle mass for lifelong wellness.
